The On the Tip of the Toes Foundation is a not for profit organization. To realize its mission, it relies essentially on donations from individuals and corporations, as well as on fund raising events.

Each year, the Foundation can count on the financial support of many partners, donors and sponsors to realize its mission: help teenagers living with cancer rebuild their self-confidence and self-worth through therapeutic adventure expeditions worthy of their courage.

Since 1996, more than 200 teenagers have taken part in our expeditions. Others are patiently waiting their turn. Your support is therefore crucial to them.

The Foundation’s Two Major Annual Fund Raising Events

Marie-Hélène Côté Shave-A-Thon

Mr. Réjean Côté and Ms Dominique Larouche, whose daughter, Marie-Hélène, was a participant in the 2000 Ellesmere Island Expedition, created the Marie-Hélène Côté Shave-A-Thon of the On the Tip of the Toes Foundation.

To mark their appreciation to the Foundation for having illuminated the last days of his daughter, Marie-Hélène’s father, Réjean Côté, put a price on his head in 2001. He took in 800$ which he turned over to us. The event was held in his home with his family present while a hairdresser shaved his hair off.

A Celebration of Life

The first edition of A Celebration of Life in support of the On the Tip of the Toes youngsterswas held on November 22, 2007, featuring Gregory Charles. Under the honorary chairmanship of Mr. Alain Bouchard, President and CEO of Alimentation Couche-Tard, the event was a great success.

On November 6, 2008, the Foundation held the second edition of A Celebration of Life. It was a marvellous evening, as we travelled to the unique environment of Daniel Bélanger’s songs, under the honorary chairmanship of Mr. Jean-Guy Desjardins, Chairman and CEO of Fiera Capital.

Other Activities

Many people and groups, touched by the Foundation’s mission, organize fund raising events and come to us with ideas for fund raising events. To all of you, our heartfelt thanks for your initiatives!

Adventurers Become Ambassadors for the On the Tip of the Toes Foundation
